In the hustle and bustle, sometimes, it’s easy to get so busy we lose sight of the important things. Relationships. Action. Change. Impact.
But sometimes, the smallest things can help literally change the world.
That’s why I participate in Blog Action Day. This year, the focus is poverty. On October 15, bloggers from across the globe will join voices to discuss, disect, and speak out about poverty.
I hope you’ll join us.
Because a really important tenent of Personal PR is that when you have a voice, you can use it.
You can use it to promote things – yourself, ideas, products, people. And you can use that same voice to promote understanding, affect change, and contribute to a movement.
Stop relying on your company’s corporate social responsibility. Don’t buy into the idea that writing a check is all you really can do to make a difference in the world. Embrace your own voice and take up the mantle of personal social responsibility. Speak out. It’s time.
Great Post. As former executive director for the ONE Campaign, Athens I am so happy when I see others using blogs and other social media outlets to get the word out about global poverty.
You are making a difference. Thank you.

Your post touched me so much. Thanks for what you are doing
Companies have corporate social responsibilty programs – and you can have a personal social responsibility (PSR) program for your personal brand. When you connect who you are with a cause you are passionate about, you are energized, attractive, compelling. PSR is not only good for your community or society as a whole, it’s a solid personal branding strategy when it is connected to your authenticity.
@ William – PSR’s something I’ve blogged about in the past! Great to see the terminology in use but even better to see it in action in authentic giving social change efforts.
Many people think that their voice make no sens, but evry drop make an ocean and it makes sens
